I am Supriya, designer from India with all its creative influences.I have worked for over 5 years as a Garment Merchandiser to both domestic and international Fashion trends and these contributed greatly to my creative influences across the spectrum.
Fashion is my passion. Colors play a significant role in my life. They reflect my state of mind & define my dressing style. Fashion should be fun, creative & above all it should be comfortable. Whatever the occasion and outfit - traditional, casual or a party dress, I should feel good. Wearing something that does not make you comfortable spoils the purpose and the look you convey.
I have a strong sense of colors & was always interested in dressing up & helping others with the selection of the “right” outfits from a very young age.Fashion being close to my heart since childhood, I always wanted to be a creator of new trends,wherein I could express myself best through my designs.
I once read that “ Fashion design is the applied art dedicated to the design of clothing & life style accessories which generally mirror the cultural & social influences of that time “, something I believe is very true. We live in an age where diverse cultures are intermingling, and new creations are being born from this experience.
So here I am in this creative world of fashion to explore & fulfill my aspirations to create designs that are both comfortable & wearable, as a reflection of current trends, styles and fusion of cultures.
The most common medium used for sketching are pencils, water colors, and Staedtler pencil colors, with a touch of glitter to add glamour.
With these sketches , I have expressed my creative thoughts, concepts & ideas. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed painstakingly creating each one of them
