Well, The most important thing that a fashion school will offer you is: CONNECTIONS. Yes, your network of peers is one of you most important assets as a designer（sometimes more important than skill). So keep this in mind when you apply to schools. Check out FIT (Fashion institute of technology) and FIDM (Google it). They are considered to be among the best in the US.

also, in addition to Dziggy's reply. i'd like to Suggest Savannah College of Art and Design, in Savannah, Georgia here in the united states. It's another of the top schools, and was my top choice when i started looking at schools for fashion design.
