The Future
hey
So I'm 15 and I've loved designing for... ages I guess
I live in the UK and I'm taking my GCSEs at the moment.
At this stage we're really being pressured to actually
decide what we want to do when we grow older so I've been
pretty stressed out.
I believe I get decent grades and I've been told I'm capable of getting
into a top university and a getting a good job, but I've been thinking
of the type of jobs my parents, or I guess typical strict parents in general
expect their kids to get: lawyer, surgeon, accountant etc.
I don't particularly enjoy science all that much so I never really wanted to
become a doctor, but I've loved maths and thought about becoming an
accountant. But the thing is everyone says it's a rather boring job.
I've also been thinking about becoming a lawyer however nearly all
the lawyers I know or have heard of regret becoming lawyers sooo, this
is when I really started getting confused.
I thought about other things I love:
piano, drawing, fashion.
i'd been designing for fun since i was really young and it's just something
i really enjoy! then i started thinking maybe i could become a fashion designer?
take art for A-levels and i will be taking textiles for a GCSE.
i could apply business to it buy maybe opening up my own shop, creating my own line
and making it expand into something which could hopefully become an international
brand.
but i think i'd really have to be GREAT at this in order to become successful so i'm just hoping for the
very best
Im sure many people can relate to me right now
i hope that the right decisions will be made
